Takes a lot of time and a lot of water, but is a good experiment to do and fun to eat. Not an everyday food at all!
You will need:
Plain flour – 1 kg
Water – mix enough water into the flour to make a “knead-able” dough.
Put the dough on a board or table and knead about 100 times.
Place ball of dough into a bowl and cover with water for between 3 – 8 hours.
Wash the ball of dough over and over until it loses all the starch and remaining is the protein (ie. the gluten).
